You can if you want, but you don’t have to. Better Hair Days is a serial multi-tasker, gentle enough to use as daily conditioner but so concentrated that it rebuilds and replenishes even the hardest-worn strands.
If you do decide to condition and use Better Hair Days, dial down the amount and be sure to rinse thoroughly – too much product may create excess oil and weigh down that gorgeous head of yours.
Most BHDers have seen results after the first use, but we recommend using Better Hair Days 2-3 times a week, as a mask or conditioner, for the best results. We hope you’ll see happier hair within a week or so of use but if you’re not happy or have some questions about how to use your mask, get in touch.
Better Hair Days, and all George products, are sulphate and paraben-free. These two nasties are notorious for stripping colour and moisture from colour-treated hair. Soooo, yes! This mask can and should be used on colour-treated hair.
Better Hair Days is packed with bioavailable moisture that your hair loves to drink. This means that the natural oils and butters in BHD will mostly be absorbed into your hair, rather than sitting on the surface and weighing your crown down (like silicone and synthetic emollients do).
When you’re switching to a new haircare product, particularly a natural product, there can be a short adjustment period, as your scalp gets used to the new ingredients and balances oil production, accordingly.
Be sure to rinse well after application and brush hair twice a day, to distribute and balance naturally-occurring oils and exfoliate the scalp.
If, after 2-3 weeks of regular use, you notice any oiliness or limpness, try applying Better Hair Days to your scalp less often, instead concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair.
Check your shampoo ingredients, too. If some of them appear on our Never. Ever. list, it may explain why your hair is having a hard time drinking up the goodness is BHD.

It depends on how often you wash, condition and treat your hair. We reckon you’ll get at least a month out of a tube – even longer if you plan on using BHD as a special once-a-week treat (mmm treats).

This mask is amazing for conditioning curly hair to fight frizz for more defined curls. I don't like using too much product in my hair to style is as it's quite fine and gets greasy easily, so using a mask like this enables me to use less curl creme and extended the length of my styling so I'm not washing my hair too frequently, which kills my colour (and I'm a laszy gal to who's got time for that).
